Pricing

The cost to edit and format a dissertation or dissertation proposal varies greatly depending on what services you need and what kind of shape it comes in. Most 5-chapter dissertations range from $600 to $1,200.

I can work at an hourly rate ($60) or for a fixed price. Fixed price jobs are for one edit. Any additional work can be quoted a new fixed price or billed at $1 per minute. You can fill out my form under "Estimate & Contact" to get an estimate or a fixed price quote. Let me know how many pages you have on the form.

I ask for a 50% deposit paid via Zelle, Venmo, Paypal, or CashApp before beginning work. The other 50% is due when I finish the job and return it to you.

The following are approximate estimates to give you an idea of the cost:

  • Editing text: 100 pages of double-spaced text is about $500
  • Editing references: 12-15 pages of double-spaced references are about $60
  • Formatting: about $60 to $180, depending on the length of the document, how much has already been formatted, whether any existing formatting is correct, and the level of detail in your university's guidelines or template.
  • Checking whether references are cited in text and vice versa: I do this only on an hourly basis ($60/hr) because it is very difficult to predict how long it will take. It depends on how many mistakes there are, but I don't know until I do the work. It averages 3 hours for about 20 pages of references and 100 pages of text, which is $180.

All projects need to be in Microsoft Word, and I use track changes and the comment feature. Sorry, no Google Docs or Latex. In my experience, transferring a Google Doc to Word creates a big formatting mess, so it is unlikely that I could format a dissertation that has been in Google Docs.
